ALX Legacy Points Digital Reward Pilot Terms & Conditions
Welcome to the ALX Legacy Points Reward Pilot. This pilot program is designed to enhance the Legacy Points
program by testing digital rewards in partnership with selected companies. This opportunity will be made
available to select ALX learners and graduates in Ghana and South Africa.

Acceptance
By participating in the Legacy Points Reward Pilot, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do
not agree, please do not proceed with redemption or use of any rewards. -
Parties Involved
ALX Holdings Limited: A private company responsible for facilitating the rewards
program. -
Rewards
The rewards available through this Pilot are Bolt and Boomplay rewards in Ghana and South Africa.
Bolt Reward: Participants who redeem this reward will receive a fixed currency amount
off their next ride on the Bolt platform. This reward code is valid for a single use only, meaning any
unused balance will be forfeited if the full value is not used in one ride. The reward code will expire
as indicated in the reward email.Boomplay Reward: Participants who redeem this reward will enjoy 30 days of Boomplay
Premium, including unlimited streaming, exclusive content, ad-free listening, VIP live sessions, and
premium audio quality. The reward code is valid for a one-time redemption and expires as indicated in
the reward email.Each reward can only be redeemed by ALX Participants who meet eligibility criteria as outlined below.
Users must redeem the reward through the ALX Pilot Portal before the pilot end date.During the pilot period, participants are allowed to redeem one (1) reward. Once a reward is redeemed,
no other rewards—whether from the same partner or different partner—can be redeemed for the remainder of
the pilot. -
Pilot Duration
The pilot will run online from 25 November 2024 to 29 November 2024. The pilots will be open for a
limited period of 5 business days (Monday to Friday). The specific pilot dates for each hub are as
follows:- Ghana Hub: [Insert dates]
- South Africa Hub: [Insert dates]
Participants will receive electronic communications of the exact dates for their respective hubs, only
one reward can be redeemed during the period stated above.

Eligibility

Participants
- The pilot is open to selected active ALX learners and Alumni in Ghana and South Africa.
- Participation is by invitation only and will be communicated via email or WhatsApp to your ALX
registered email or WhatsApp number. - You must be a minimum age of 18.
- You must be an active ALX learner or Alumni, out of the ones selected for this pilot.
- You must have only one ALX account, which must be in your real name. Confidentiality and
restriction of access to your ALX account is your responsibility. - You are not restricted by ALX from using the ALX services.
- Employees, directors, partners, agents, or consultants of ALX or any of its affiliates or
subsidiaries are not eligible to participate.

Requirements
- Participants must have a valid ALX account with sufficient Legacy Points to redeem rewards.
- Legacy Points are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Digital rewards that are redeemed during the course of this pilot are non-refundable.

Reward Redemption Process

Redeeming Rewards
- Participants will receive a link to a country-specific pilot reward landing page where they can
view available rewards. - Participants will be alerted about their Legacy Points balance via email or WhatsApp.
- Rewards will be provided in the form of digital rewards, which can be redeemed using your
available Legacy Points. - Once a reward is selected and confirmed, the corresponding Legacy Points will be
deducted from your balance prior to the digital reward being delivered
electronically to you. You will not be able to redeem another reward. - The Legacy Points balance for all participants is available on the ALX Member Portal.

Redemption Limits
- Redemption Frequency Limits:Each participant may redeem a maximum of one (1)
reward during the entire pilot period. - Reward Stock Limitations:Redemption of rewards is subject to stock
availability. If stock for a specific reward is depleted, participants may choose another
reward, as long as available. We’ll update active participants if all stocks are finalized
before the end of the Pilot. - First-Come, First-Served Basis:Rewards will be issued on a first-come,
first-served basis. Participants who reach the redemption limit for a specific reward will be
unable to select that reward again.
- Redemption Frequency Limits:Each participant may redeem a maximum of one (1)

Reward Issuance
- Delivery Time: Rewards will be delivered via email or SMS within 1 – 3 business
days of redemption. - Weekend Redemptions: Rewards redeemed outside of business hours (i.e., weekdays
after 5pm, on weekends or public holidays) will be processed on the next business day. Rewards
will only be issued during business hours from Monday to Friday, 5pm CAT. - Expiration Date: Rewards will have a defined expiration date, which will be
communicated at the time of issuance, within the email or SMS sent to you. Participants must use
the reward before this date. - Expired & Unused Rewards: If a reward expires and remains unused, it will
no longer be valid, and participants will not be able to redeem or return it. No extensions or
reissuance of expired rewards will be provided. Participants are responsible for tracking the
expiration date and using the reward before it expires. - Technical Issues: In the event of technical issues preventing the issuance of
the reward, we will work to resolve the issue and ensure delivery as quickly as possible.
Participants will be kept informed of any significant delays. - Email Delivery: Rewards will be delivered to the participant’s registered ALX
email address or cellphone number. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure their email
address and cellphone number are up-to-date, accurate, and accessible. We are not liable for
delays or failures in reward delivery due to issues with the participant’s email account or
cellphone number.
- Delivery Time: Rewards will be delivered via email or SMS within 1 – 3 business

No Monetary Exchange
No monetary exchange will occur between ALX learners/graduates.

Returns
- Reward Validity: If a reward redeemed through the Digital Rewards Pilot landing
page does not work, participants must notify ALX within 7 days of receiving the reward. ALX will
work with the reward provider to resolve the issue, but cannot guarantee a replacement or
refund. - Product Issues: For items purchased using your reward code, any issues with the
product (e.g., defective or faulty items) must be addressed directly with the reward provider
according to their returns and warranty policies. - Non-Liability: ALX acts only as an intermediary in facilitating the digital
reward redemption process. For any other concerns, the relevant provider (Bolt or Boomplay) will
be responsible for managing returns or complaints.

- ALX reserves the right to modify these T&Cs and pilot features. If participants have any
questions about the pilot, they can ask LEA, our Learning Experience Assistant. - ALX reserves the right to terminate or modify the pilot at any time, with prior notice to active
participants.

Data Privacy

Data Collection
- ALX will collect participant information for the purpose of facilitating reward redemptions.
- ALX may share Your data with partner companies to process rewards. ALX and our partners will
handle all data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. - ALX will use aggregated data resulting from the pilot to analyse and improve the Legacy Points
Program, determine the future collaboration with external providers and enhance your options.

- Alx will also process aggregated data for the pilot, such as:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Communication Interaction insights
- Redemption page insights
- # of Target Audience that selected a reward, redeemed a reward
- Reward redemption Communication status
- Rewards utilized: we are collecting status of reward utilization
- Any other information you choose to provide

Acknowledgement for Data Use
- By participating in the pilot, you acknowledge that ALX processes your personal data for reward
redemption (providing of services as legal basis), as detailed above and shares necessary
information with third-party partners to deliver rewards. - Asking for this sharing to stop implies you sign out of the initiative.
- Your rights, duration of the processing and other privacy aspects are available at ALX privacy

- By participating in the pilot, you acknowledge that ALX processes your personal data for reward

Disqualification from the Pilot
The following circumstances may lead to disqualification from participating in this pilot:
- If the individual is found to have provided false information or is using someone else’s ALX account
- If the individual does not meet the pilot criteria
- If the individual has been restricted or previously disqualified from participating in ALX activities or
other Legacy Rewards initiatives. - If an individual violates any of the terms and conditions applicable to this pilot
- If an Individual has violated the ALX Code of Conduct.
ALX reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be in breach of these T&Cs, including
providing false information or attempting to manipulate the reward system. -
Liability & Disclaimers
- ALX provides the rewards on an “as-is” basis and makes no guarantees about their availability or value.
- ALX is not liable for any technical issues or disruptions related to reward redemption or rewards usage.
- Participants are responsible for safeguarding their ALX account, email, and cellphone number. ALX is not
liable for rewards lost or used due to unauthorized access, such as a compromised email. In case of
suspected account compromise, participants should immediately contact LEA, our Learning Experience Assistant to remove the compromised account. - ALX will investigate but cannot guarantee the replacement of lost or misused rewards.
- ALX is not liable for technical issues that prevent reward redemption during the pilot period. No
extensions or replacements will be offered if the period lapses due to such issues.

Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Mauritius and any disputes will be resolved in the
courts of that country. -
